Deliciously Ella

If you haven’t heard of Ella Mills, where have you been? Here’s the low-down: after being diagnosed with postural tachycardia syndrome, Ella underwent a complete lifestyle change and now focusses solely on eating and creating whole plant-based foods. On Deliciously Ella, she features incredibly healthy versions of typically unhealthy dishes. She also has an app, six bestselling cookbooks and a cafe in Central London.

Eat Like a Girl

Irish-born Niamh Shields is a London-based food and travel blogger. She describes herself as a wanderer, and when she’s not travelling, she’s often in her kitchen, a restaurant or a wine bar. Eat Like a Girl shares recipes, restaurant recommendations and food-based travel stories. With plenty of gratuitous “food porn” photos, Niamh’s posts are either her own recipes or those she’s picked up on her travels.

Cook Sister

Blogger Jeanne Horak features food, photos and tales of faraway places on Cook Sister. As a freelance recipe developer and writer, Jeanne has spoken at blogging conferences, covering topics from the legal aspects of blogging to recipe writing and editing. She says that the story of what she eats is the story of her life and that food and travel are the two things that she has been in love with since childhood. Cook Sister derived its name from the South African dish koeksister, a deep-fried, syrup-dipped pastry.

Tinned Tomatoes

Jacqueline Meldrum calls herself “the Scottish vegetarian”, and her website, Tinned Tomatoes, features more than 500 vegetarian and vegan recipes, both sweet and savoury. When she first began her site in 2007, she had a penchant for cooking exclusively with tinned tomatoes, and her blog’s name pokes fun at that while also reminding her to think outside the box.
